the 2010 salute luncheon

The Salute luncheon is both an opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of extraordinary women and to support the worthy efforts of the YWCA of Greater Atlanta.

Each year, the YWCA of Greater Atlanta honors the new inductees to the Academy of Women Achievers at the annual Salute to Women of Achievement luncheon in May.  This year's luncheon was held in May at Georgia World Congress Center.

What People Say

From the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation

Yesterday’s event was wonderful. The YWCA has created an important space for women, and yesterday’s luncheon was proof of how committed the community is to your work. It was beautifully produced and presented. The newest class of Women of Achievement was formidable. I am pleased to be among this group of remarkable women. Thank you for including me in the program yesterday. And thank you for all you do.

Best, Penny

From Atlanta Girls' School

We were thrilled to be there, and the girls were inspired by what they saw and heard. I had a class with the younger singers immediately after we returned to school, and I asked them to "journal" about connecting the words/meaning of their songs (Let Beauty Awake and Hold Fast Your Dreams) to the messages they heard. They shared some thoughtful and insightful comments.

Thanks again, Rob Burlington, Director of Counseling and Student Life

As usual, tonight’s reception was awesome! Not only was it well attended but we have an amazing line up of women this year. I continue to be so proud to support the YWCA.
