Jordan's Story

Last year I received the College Woman of Achievement award, and I am proud to say that, because of hard work and the support of the YWCA, I just completed my first year - very successfully, I might add - at Atlanta's own Agnes Scott College. I have always wanted to write and achieve my academic goals and this year has been my dream come true. I was so excited to present this incredible legacy to another deserving recipient so that she, too, can go after her dreams.

Carol Dunlap Reiser YWCA College Woman of Achievement Scholarship

Jordan Mosby, a TGI Tech graduate, was awarded the 2010 Carol Dunlap Reiser YWCA College Woman of Achievement Scholarship. Teen Girls in Technology is an innovative YWCA of Greater Atlanta program for girls in middle and high school that helps cultivate interest and competence in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).

Carol Reiser Scholarship

First established in 2002,the Carol Dunlap Reiser YWCA College Woman of Achievement Scholarship award of $50k was created [with support from Rich’s-Macy’s where Ms. Reiser worked for over 20 years] as a special tribute in memory of Carol Reiser. This scholarship is awarded at Salute to a college bound student who has been enrolled in one of our youth development programs; who is striving to achieve academic success; and who has demonstrated a commitment of service to her school and community.
