Building Bright Futures: Highlights From Our Quality Rated Early Learning Academy

YWCA Greater Atlanta’s Quality Rated Early Learning Academy provides essential childcare for working parents, serving children from 6 weeks to 5 years old and preparing them for kindergarten and future academic success. We recognize that early childhood education lays the groundwork for a lifetime of learning and success. We are fully staffed, ensuring that every child receives the individual attention and support they need to thrive.

The Early Learning Academy (ELA) has again been awarded the prestigious Georgia Free Pre-K Program Grant for the 2024–2025 school year. The grant provides us with 60 slots, and currently 54 students have enrolled.

This school year YWCA Greater Atlanta is working to maintain our quality rating. To support this, YWCA Greater Atlanta is partnering with Quality Care for Children to provide comprehensive training and consulting. Our dedicated team and collaborative efforts will help us reach this new level of excellence.

Enrollment and re-enrollment for the 2024–2025 school year began in July, welcoming children ages 6 weeks to 3 years. Our commitment to providing high-quality early childhood education remains steadfast, and we are excited to see our young learners grow and thrive in the upcoming year.

This year, our ELA students have had the opportunity to explore the community and city. With the introduction of the new bus this year, students have been able to enjoy even more field trips. Some of the exciting field trips and activities were visits to the Fernbank Science Museum and the King Center, a petting zoo on campus, bouncy houses, and trips to local Virginia Highland businesses such as Farm Burger, Pielands Pizza and Morelli's Ice Cream. These experiences not only enhance their learning but also help them navigate various social and public settings confidently.

We still have spaces available for toddlers and Pre-K students to enroll in our Early Learning Academy. Don’t miss this opportunity to provide your child with high-quality early education! E-mail carlen.sanford@ywcaatlanta.org to make an inquiry.
