Digital Skills Academy Receives Grant for Empowering Teen Girls Event

We are thrilled to announce that the YWCA Greater Atlanta’s Digital Skills Academy has been awarded a grant from YWCA USA in partnership with Ulta. This funding will support our upcoming event "Pretty Empowered," set to take place in November.

"Pretty Empowered" is designed to uplift and inspire teen girls by focusing on the holistic empowerment of body, mind and spirit. The event will feature a dynamic STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics) component, where participants will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on activities and create their own products. This creative experience aims to spark curiosity, innovation and confidence among the young attendees.

Volunteers from the local Ulta team will be on hand to facilitate the event, bringing their expertise and enthusiasm to ensure a memorable and impactful day for all involved. Their involvement highlights the strong community partnership between YWCA Greater Atlanta and local businesses committed to empowering the next generation.
