Conversations 2024: Empowering Voices at the Intersection of Race, Class and Gender
YWCA Greater Atlanta is pleased to announce our annual Conversations Forum on Race and Gender, a pivotal annual event that brings together individuals from all sectors to engage in honest dialogues about the interconnectedness of race and gender and the vital role of inclusivity in creating a more compassionate environment for all.
This year's event, Empowering Voices at the Intersection of Race, Class and Gender, focuses on critical issues impacting voters in the 2024 election cycle. Conversations will feature a panel discussion focused on workforce development and access to affordable housing and healthcare, providing attendees with the knowledge and inspiration needed to make a significant impact at the ballot box. Condace Pressley, award-winning journalist and director of community affairs for WSB-TV and Radio will be the moderator for this year’s panel discussion.
We are honored to welcome an esteemed panel of issue experts:
Healthcare: Donna Hubbard McCree, PhD, MPH, RPh, owner of NXLS4Health LLC, an authority in health equity science, community engagement, and HIV prevention and care.
Workforce Development: Jasmine Bowles, state director at 9 to 5 and a member of the Clayton County School Board, who brings a wealth of experience in workforce rights and community advocacy.
Affordable Housing Access: Elizabeth Banks, chief operating officer at HOPE Atlanta, leads initiatives to end homelessness and poverty and promote self-sufficiency for Georgia's most vulnerable residents.
