YWCA Greater Atlanta Hosts YWCA USA Leadership and Capacity Building Institute Conference

YWCA Greater Atlanta was the host city for the biannual YWCA USA Leadership and Capacity Building Institute held at The Westin Hotel in Atlanta in June. This prestigious event united YWCA leaders and advocates from across the nation for an inspiring week of training, collaboration and strategy sessions, all dedicated to the mission of eliminating racism and empowering women. 

The conference was thoughtfully designed to empower executives, emerging leaders and professionals across the YWCA network. It featured workshops, panel discussions and keynote addresses from renowned experts in social justice, equity and leadership development. Participants had opportunities to network, share best practices and gain valuable insights to strengthen their local associations and drive impactful change in their communities. 

Danita V. Knight, president and CEO of YWCA Greater Atlanta, expressed her enthusiasm about hosting the event in Atlanta. “We are honored to have been selected as the host city for this year’s Leadership and Capacity Building Institute,” she said. “This conference provided a vital platform for equipping our leaders with the skills and knowledge they need to elevate their programs and advocate for justice and equality. The energy, passion and commitment demonstrated by all attendees was truly inspiring, and we look forward to seeing more positive outcomes across the network based on our time together.”
