Biography: Elle Knott
Elle Knott (she/her) is a social worker, policy strategist, and advocate dedicated to advancing racial and gender equity in Georgia. She joined YWCA Greater Atlanta in 2022. As Public Policy and Partnerships Manager, she leads the organization’s advocacy agenda and builds cross-sector partnerships that move equity from vision to action. Elle’s work spans legislative strategy, leadership development, and coalition building, with a focus on ensuring women’s voices shape the policies that affect their lives.
Guided by a background that bridges theology and social work, Elle brings both empathy and strategic insight to her leadership. She believes meaningful change happens when communities are equipped to understand power, tell their stories, and take collective action. Through her work with YWCA Greater Atlanta and the Georgia Women’s Policy Institute, she continues to create pathways for women and girls to lead boldly in the pursuit of justice.
Elle holds her Master of Social Work from the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University, and her Master of Divinity from Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary.
