Biography: Thomasine Leachman
Thomasine Leachman is the health and wellness program manager for YWCA Greater Atlanta. Since 2007 she has developed and implemented the EncorePlus Breast cancer awareness Program, the HPV Prevention Vaccine Initiative, and the Change Your Lifestyle - Change Your Life Diabetes Prevention project.
Thomasine has worked in the field of community health for more than twenty years. Prior to coming to YWCA Greater Atlanta, she worked with the American Cancer Society, Morehouse School of Medicine, and the DeKalb County Board of Health where she organized various health education and screening initiatives directly into the community.
She is very passionate about the need to achieve health equity for the underserved. She has dedicated her career to implementing initiatives that will assist in the prevention and early detection of chronic diseases that disproportionately affect the disadvantaged.
Thomasine is a graduate of Morris Brown College with a BA in Business Management. She is married to her best friend, Rodney, and they have one adult son.
